I steal therefore I am

These beautiful flowers were the center piece on a table I walked by. I decided I would really enjoy them, so I took them. I am sure that who ever they belonged to would have wanted me to have them because they cheered me up. I giggled all the way home, knowing I stole them.

At least 10 people watched me take them and walk out with them, no one said a word and no one stopped me. I took that as a sign that they were meant to be mine. Of course I am not advocating that all of you just take stuff you find pretty, stealing is bad. What I did was wrong, bad karma, stealing is bad, did you hear me, bad, don't do it. Unless of course you can get away with it, like I did. (I'm kidding, sort of, kinda) Damn it was fun and those flowers sure are pretty.

LOL...very funny. And no, I would never steal. Unless I saw some really pretty flowers. Maybe the vase. Oh, and the table they were sitting on.

These flowers are great!

Odd story for you: Today I go to the grocery store on the way to work. The girl at the register tells me she loves my outfit then asks me how much I'd charge her for it. I've been stuck with the image of me walking out of the store in just my unmentionables all morning.

Stolen flowers bloom brightest. I thought everyone knew that.

Susan, great way to make extra money! Both at the store, and all the money that would be thrown at you while you walked the rest of the way to work...

em, just don't get caught , that's the key.

Susan, and you didn't sell?? what were you thinking?

Fringes, a lesson well learned.

Nore, she could have made a bundle, till the cops showed up.

Wng, working my way up to the boat.

Kofi, muchas gracias.

Good for you! They were just going to throw them out anyway. So think of it as a rescue mission. Yeah, go with that.

Essie, I read ALL your blogs. I enjoyed seeing pics of your parents! Thank you for sharing.

My papi used to joke about the Mexican, like him, who brought flowers to his deceased relative one day. He looked over to the next burial plot and saw that an oriental man had placed a bowl of white rice on his dearly beloved relative's tomb stone; the man chuckled to himself. How stupid to bring rice, he thought. After being amused for a while, the Mexican mockingly asked the oriental man chuckling, "and when do you suppose your relative is going to get up to eat that bowl of rice?" The oriental man looked up somewhat astonished and responded "when your relative gets up to smell the flowers."

Taking the flowers reminded me of my papi's "joke."

Love to you from Highlands Ranch.

I relate far too well to this. I used to go on midnight runs to steal flowers when I didn't have any. Sometimes I parked on freeway medians and helped myself to plantings there.

Flowers are a necessity for me.

Yours are very beautiful, and they were unquestionably meant for you.

Enjoy them!
