When it rains ...

Tropical storm Olga has been visiting the island, this is the river near my house. It is normally very clear water but due to the rain and our red clay like soil, it's not looking too pretty.

That's the bridge I need to cross to get into town, I had to take the "long" route to town today.

The waterfall that sprouted where once there was none.

At least I still have an internet connection.

wow, that's a lot of wet. good for you for being smart and not trying to drive over the bridge...

heather, not to worry, am already hiding out in the castle, wearing my warm pj's.

nore, one stupid fool wanted to cross the bridge but the cops turned him away. He was ranting and raving about how much longer it would take him to get home. I'm thinking they should have let him go through. : )

franki, yes, indeed, it got much worse last night with heavy thunder and lightening but the sun is shining today.

I have this strange fascination with floods. What's weird is I'm a fire sign and yet I'm obsessed with water. Eh, who am I to self analize.

Stay warm. Part of me is wishing for rain instead of the snow that is being forecast... but it didn't snow at all last winter and a few rivers almost dried up. So I won't be too picky.

Be careful! Although the waterfall is kinda cool - you should probably enjoy that while you have it :)

Please take care - go to higher and dryer ground if you need to!

I'm glad the sun is shining!

Susan, feel free to fly on over and watch the now receding flood water with me.

Kofi, yuck, I hear the weather sucks in your part of the world, am hoping you are staying warm.

wng, the waterfall was the best part. in fact the only good part.

Jali, no worries I live on a mountain top but the town is at flood level so I'll be shopping sometime later in the week.

uno, dos, tres, besos to you.

I love the way storms change the landscape. Extreme acts of nature make me feel more alive. (I know, it's sad.)

I'm glad you're safe and snug and still have your Internet connection.

Stay well!

That definitely counts as a LOT of rain! But the impromptu waterfall is very pretty.
